Delivery Coverage
We ship to the contiguous United States (PO boxes and US territories excluded) and Canada only.
Shipping Rates
- Orders subtotal ≥ $15 USD: Free Shipping
- Orders subtotal ＜ $15 USD: Flat shipping rate **$8.99 USD**
Note: The threshold is calculated based on merchandise value, excluding taxes.
Order Processing Time
After payment and order verification, please allow 1–2 business days for picking, packing and dispatch. During peak sales seasons and holidays, processing may extend to 2–3 business days, and announcements will be posted on our website.
Estimated Transit Time (after dispatch)
- Contiguous USA: 2–5 business days
- Canada: 4–8 business days
Transit times are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to weather, customs, carrier overload or other force majeure events.
Order Tracking
Once your package ships, a tracking number will be sent automatically to your registered email address for real-time tracking.
Duties, Taxes and Customs Fees
- US domestic orders: No import duties.
- Canadian orders: Customs duties, sales taxes or brokerage fees may apply upon entry into Canada. All such charges are the responsibility of the recipient. thesunbums will not cover any customs or import fees.
Lost or Damaged Packages
Please inspect your package within 48 hours after marked delivered. If your package arrives damaged or lost in transit, contact our support team with your order number and photos of the package for a carrier claim.
Return & Refund Policy
Return Window
Return requests must be submitted within 30 calendar days from the delivery date of your package. Requests submitted after this 30-day window will not be accepted unless required by applicable local law.
Eligibility for Sunscreen Products
- Returnable items: Unopened sunscreen products with intact factory seals, original packaging and labels, unused and unaltered.
- Opened, used sunscreen products or damaged factory seals: Not eligible for non‑reason returns due to hygiene and safety concerns.
- Bundle sets: Full set must be returned. Partial returns will have corresponding item value deducted from your refund.
- Final sale clearance items: Final sale items cannot be returned for change-of-mind reasons. Returns are only accepted if the product has manufacturing defects.
Two Return Scenarios
- Customer-initiated return (change of mind, wrong item ordered)
- Customer is responsible for return shipping cost.
- Original outbound shipping fee is non-refundable.
- Refund will be issued after our warehouse receives and inspects returned goods.
- Our error (manufacturing defect, wrong item shipped, missing items)
- We will cover return shipping cost.
- Full refund including product price and original shipping cost, or free replacement at your option.
Return Process
- Submit your return request via email [email protected], including order number and return reason.
- Our support team reviews your request and sends return address and instructions within 1–2 business days.
- Pack your item securely, ship it back and reply to our email with your return tracking number.
- Our warehouse receives and inspects the returned merchandise.
Refund Processing Time
Once returned goods are received, inspected and approved by our warehouse, we will initiate your refund within 5–7 business days. The time for funds to show on your account depends on your payment provider; credit card / PayPal refunds may take an additional 3–10 business days to post.
Important Disclaimer
Sunscreen is skincare cosmetic product. Once opened and used, we cannot verify storage conditions or skin exposure, so opened products cannot be returned for change of mind. If skin irritation occurs after use, discontinue use immediately and contact our support team with photos. We will review each case individually. This return policy applies only to orders purchased directly from the official thesunbums website. Products bought from third-party retailers are not covered under this policy.
